The winter holidays are quickly approaching. Around this time of the year some people can barely contain themselves with excitement, but others experience stress and anxiety.
Those who dread the holidays are often thinking about the unhealthy temptations waiting for them at parties and other gatherings. Here at the Institute, we know eating for both pleasure and good health during the holidays can be a challenge.
Join us, December 10, from 6-8 p.m. for Healthy Holiday Strategies and learn how to take charge and defy this challenge. Health coach and chef, Jennifer Helene Popken-Leeds will lead a cooking and lifestyles workshop to share strategies for cooking and eating healthy during the holidays! Nutrition research scientist, Dr. Chris D’Adamo will also be joining us to provide commentary.
Watch this video for a sneak peek about our upcoming workshop:
During this evening, you’ll learn how to create and balance the choices you have, avoid weight gain, and prevent health sabotage. You’ll create a personal plan for making holiday eating healthy, enjoyable, and nourishing.
Some recipes Jennifer will share include:
Raw, healthfully sweetened cranberry sauce
Raw pumpkin pie
And green side dishes!
The best part? You’ll get to sample Jennifer’s creations and take home the recipes. If you register by Friday, December 5, you will receive a free e-book of healthy holiday recipes!
Use this holiday season as an excuse for staying healthy and reserve your space today!
