Combining the ancient yoga practices with modern medical knowledge, this program offers yogic tools to address the unique abilities and limitations of people who suffer from pain. This one-day workshop will teach health care professionals how to help clients reduce stress and increase pain tolerance through yoga postures, meditation, and breathing techniques.
By studying and discussing the latest research that explains the brain’s relationship to pain, participants will learn the latest techniques for managing negative emotions in order to decrease chronic pain and how these can be applied to their clinical practice.
Great care will be taken to ensure that people of all abilities may safely participate.
