With the rapid rise of integrative medicine, various forms of healing touch are becoming more mainstream in the field of psychotherapy and therapeutic interventions. Intended for counselors and social workers who would like to use therapeutic touch in individual and group settings, this seminar will examine how current ethical guidelines can be adapted to new advances in these fields.
Participants will explore a paradigm for assessing ethics and boundaries when hands-on techniques and other forms of physical touch are used in clinical interventions as appropriate for mental health disorders.
Nancy McPartland, LCSW will lead this workshop.
