Rachel Druckenmiller, MS, CNE

​​Rachel Druckenmiller, MS, CNE is a wellness consultant, Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Baltimore-based food blogger. She is the Wellness Director for SIG in Lutherville, where she guides companies to build thriving workplaces that promote health and well-being. In recognition of her innovative work in the field of health and wellness, she was recognized as the 2015 #1 Health Promotion Professional in the U.S. by the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA).

On her blog, Rachel's Nourishing Kitchen, she offers a refreshing, energizing and inspiring approach about what to eat and how to live. Rachel also offers tips and tricks for healthy living and hope and inspiration to be well and come alive. She provides dozens of deliciously dairy-free and gluten-free recipes centered on using whole, unprocessed, real food ingredients.
 
A formerly picky eater who preferred Doritos to kale chips, she now teaches healthy cooking classes, speaks to leadership and human resource teams, and offers interactive nutrition education workshops to companies and groups. 
Rachel believes in “upgrading” our diet to nourish and fuel our bodies, so we can transform our lives and health.  From losing weight to healing chronic acid reflux and childhood illnesses with the support of integrative medicine, Rachel has learned that nourishing our whole self is the key to helping us look and feel our best.

Meaghan and Shane Carpenter

Co-owners Meaghan and Shane Carpenter have been creating fermented foods for almost 20 years. Their passion for creating delicious fermented foods started with family, travel, health and an abundance of cabbage from a community farm they helped to start in their Baltimore neighborhood.

Their ferments have been featured in the Local Palate, on the PBS series Moveable Feast, Baltimore Sun, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Cultured Magazine, Bon Appetit, Baltimore Magazine, Baltimore Style, and most recently they are winners of a 2017 Good Food Award and 2017 Slow Food Snail of Approval.

HEX Ferments is Baltimore's one and only fermented foods company with a retail shop open every day in Belvedere Square Market. You can catch them at weekend farmers market and even purchase a few of their products numerous retailers in the local foodshed region.
