A Special Online Symposium
Comparative Effectiveness Research & Integrative Medicine
Held on the Web: April 12 through April 30, 2010
This unique interactive event brought together more than 80 stakeholders from around the world and from diverse fields who are involved in integrative medicine and practice, including researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates. The online discussions followed the one-day meeting “Complementary and Integrative Medicine (CIM): Stakeholder Symposium” which TIIH co-hosted in November 2009 in Baltimore with the Center for Medical Technology Policy (CMTP).
The online discussion was organized into three major themes; a week-long focused and moderated session was devoted to each. The asynchronous format allowed participants to read and enter their own comments when it was convenient for them to do so.

“CER, Integrative Medicine & Stakeholder Decision-Making”
Moderated by Delia Chiaramonte, MD; patient advocate Trisha Torrey; and Riaz Ali, MPP.

Moderated by Andy Avins, MD, MPH; Margaret Chesney, PhD; and Claudia Witt, MD, MBA.
